Our Roots
As you are well aware, children are our future but no child can have a future without a solid foundation. Education whether traditional college or trade school is the foundation for our children to achieve success in their future.
Over 25 years ago, Shirley Masonic Lodge recognized this fact and started a scholarship. In 2014, our Lodge Master Jeff Ellison, who was a distinguished lecturer in Masonic Degree work passed away and in his honor the scholarship was renamed the Jeff Ellison Memorial Scholarship.

In 2018 the Shirley Masonic Lodge created the Jeff Ellison Memorial Scholarship Fund (a 501 (c) 3 charity) that provides an avenue for our children's success. Contributions to this scholarship fund provide at least one scholarship to a high school senior from Eastern Hancock High School and as this fund grows, we plan to add more high schools to our list.
